Japanese armor type “Tosei dö gusoku” with helmet or “kabuto”. It was part of the Romero Ortiz Collection, related in its 1888 Catalog to Daniel Datto and the context of the Philippine War. The warriors of ancient Japan or Samurai, belonged to a military elite at the service of a Daimyo or feudal lord. Their armor, the basis of their defensive clothing, consisted of different components that covered the entire body, pieces that evolved into forms of great showiness and a precious finish, especially in the Edo period. Edo period (1603-1868). In the collection of the Spanish National Army Museum (Toledo, Spain). Catalog number MUE-43243. 3D model made using the Artec Leo scanner. Processing completed in Artec Studio Professional with additional processing completed in Geomagic Wrap.

This work is part of the collaboration agreement signed in 2021 between the Ministry of Defence (Spain) and Global Digital Heritage for the digitization of the collections preserved by the Spanish National Army Museum.
